Adopt-a-Bear
The CAC gives a teddy bear to each child that comes for a forensic interview. The community has been so generous to us and has allowed us to accumulate a wonderful selection of bears. As our bear collection grew we started to wonder... how could we use the bears we have to help more children? It was this question that led the staff to create Adopt-A-Bear.
We have taken our cuddly, cute, wonderful bears out into the community to be adopted. The bears have allowed us to spread our mission to people that do not know about the CAC. People stop to find out about the bears and we get to tell them about the children.
When a bear is adopted, a donation is made to the CAC. An adoption certificate is filled out and the bear goes to live with a new family. It just does not get any better that that!

The Child Advocacy Center's fund-raising project, Rainbows of Hope, was designed by the staff. Each bracelet has a color that represents an attribute that we hope to give each child who comes to the CAC.
Blue represents tranquility, light-purple represents love, white represents peace, green represents courage, and light-pink represents hope. Each bracelet has our signature teddy bear that is made out of pewter. The beads are quartz cat's eyes which are made by fusing quartz fibers in to the shape of a bead.
If you would like to purchase a bracelet, call Shalverri at 334-705-0770

Volunteer Opportunities
The CAC has many volunteer opportunities. Each volunteer must obtain a criminal background and fingerprint check before they can volunteer directly with the children. The safety of the children we serve is our first priority. Below you will find a form to fill out if you are interested in a volunteer position. We contact you and set up a time for you to come and learn about the CAC. read more ...
